Hi Steven,

thank you so much for introducint me to 'What's hot' or in my case 'Explore' on Google+.

I just checked it out and noticed one of your other posts in that list which starts with something that looks like and eye but is a kitchen sink.

When I share people's content I always include the Google plus with a comment and tag the author's name.

Thanks again for helping me understand the workings of this!

Cheers,

Yorinda

Hi Steve, this reminds me of trying to get on the first page of Digg years ago. So I'm assuming the “What’s Hot” or Explore sections are personalized for each person and based on their own factors. Is that right?

This sounds similar to Digg and also to LinkedIn Today.  Both are great ways to keep up with the types of content people are looking for, as well as headlines that effectively grab attention.  I'll be heading over to the What's Hot section on Google Plus more frequently after reading your article, @GeeklessTech !

Hi Steven,

Google+ is definitely picking up it's momentum and becoming top traffic source for bloggers worldwide. Of course, Explore/What's hot section is icing on the cake. Thank you for nice insights and for sharing/featuring our article.

Hi Steve,

Interesting! On New Year's at 1 am I posted "PSY Gangnam Style with MC Hammer at Time Square" video and I had no clue how it got several +s and shares. It goat about 200 +1 69 resharing and 52 comments. It was initially shared by few people from my circle and then later 90% of it came from people who are not in my circle. Discussions and arguments were going on in that thread.

I think it all depends on the content & timing.

Very interesting Steve, and congratulations on the great results for your post. I have only recently begun focusing more attention on Google+. I won't say I'm anywhere near where I should - or want to - be, I'm liking it more these days for sure.

@HotBlogTips Hi Brian, that is a very good question.  I have to dig a litter deeper to see if each G+ user has their own personalized "What's Hot" section.

@SteveBorgman I think it has definite similarities to the old Digg as well Steve.  Thanks for stopping by Steve.

@SadieFR Thanks Sadie...I think it's a nice little nugget for people that are active on Google Plus, and probably aren't aware of how "What's Hot" works.

@marquita.herald Hi Marquita - Thank You, and yes it seems like many are just arriving at Google Plus, but it picks up steam everyday.  It's a challenge to fit in all of these social networks, but G + should be on everyone's list.
