YARRA 3DX – THE LATEST 3D AUDIO SOUND SYSTEM

The Yarra 3DX is the latest technology  in beamforming speakers that is revolutionizing audio experiences in Gaming, Music Audio and Home theater. It will enhance the existing surround sound by converting audio to binaural. It promises to provide a 3D audio experience. It is the world’s first 3D Audio Sound Bar that is launched by Comhear Inc. It promises to beat the traditional home theater setup.

The traditional multiple speaker systems for home theaters used for gaming, watching movies and listening to music will be replaced by the latest Yarra 3DX technology. It will provide a complete, immersive alternative to the headphones.

Surround sound is cumbersome and expensive to set up. One requires the exact spot to get a fairly decent  sensation of sound getting close to the head. The Yarra 3DX, created by Comhear, is come up with a soundbar using an advanced audio technology called beamforming. They have called it ‘MyBeam’ technology.

The beamforming technology has great benefits that allows you to change the location of the sweet spot  or even have many sweetspots for a group of listeners. You can direct the sound to a single location and it will not be necessary to raise the volume for a better sound effect. It will give the effect of binaural audio with the bass notes and this effect can be shared by multiple listeners. Yarra 3DX gives a complete surround sound without having to use multiple speakers or headphones.

The Yarra 3DX comes with a subwoofer, setup and control app instructions and high resolution music albums. In conjunction with researchers at  the University of California San Diego, the development of this groundbreaking  beamforming  technology has come to fruition.  It has already received various awards, including the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Innovation Award.

The Yarra 3DX will provide a total transformation in the way people listen and engage with audio. It also comes with high resolution specifications and controls for upto 3 users, stereo effects for larger number of users, a powerful subwoofer  and analog/digital inputs.

The MyBeam technology  by Comhear in the Yarra 3DX, provides a wired as well as bluetooth connectivity and traditional analog and digital connections (RCA, USB and HDMI).The analog and digital inputs provide a range of connectivity options for ordinary as well as highend components. It can be used independently or together with the home entertainment  network.  With the Yarra 3DX, users can control the sound effects in game and movie modes, music as well as firmware updates.

It is likely to be in silver or black. The standard finish is slated to be in aluminium. The matte black option is being considered for the gaming option.

It will have multicoloured lights that can be controlled by the users. The low lighting was considered suitable for gamers as well as intimate environments.

The Yarra 3DX along with the subwoofer should be below $600. However, going in for the subwoofer wireless option may increase the cost slightly.

The Yarra 3DX has an external power supply supporting 240 volts and the  internal power supply in the subwoofer is compatible with 120/240 volts.

The sound beam width varies depending on the number of users, their position and the distance of the listeners from the setup. The attenuation between the beams directed between the left and right ears allows a binaural audio program which can be heard as an immersive, 3D sound experience.

The final product is expected to roll out in the first quarter of 2018.
